Musical Maths

This week we have been learning about musical maths. Mr Lobb, Miss Downes and  Ms Donald taught us about crotchets, crotchet rests and pair of quavers. We had to make our own tune and then perform it to the class. After that we figured out how many musical symbols there would be if we went through our piece of music 3 times.

Term 2 Assembly

Weight Maths

This is our wacky weight maths. If you put equipment on the scales, the numbers will change. Weight is gravity that pulls you down to the ground.

Production

In week 10 we will be doing the best production in the world. Room 13 will be dancing to a song. We are so excited to learn our dance for our song.

This is when we were welcomed onto the Marae. We sang Te Araho and we listened to them sing their song. They were talking about the Marae. Matua Shane was speaking about the carvings.

Buddy Reading

We are learning to buddy read. We have to read quietly and we have to sit close to the other person (Elbow to elbow, knee to knee, EEKK). We can read at the same time or read one page at a time and take turns.

Room 13 have been practicing silent reading for the first four weeks. We need to think about not moving around and not sitting next to people we talk to. We get to read books that suit us best and we get to choose where we sit.
